We have started a special series of photos of the new Prime Minister of India - Shri Narendra Modi in conversation with Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This started on May 16, 2014 when he was declared the new Prime Minister of India till May 21, 2014 when he is likely to take the oath as the new Prime Minister of India. These are rare photos taken at Prasanthi Nilayam and at Sundaram in Chennai between 2004 and 2007 when He visited Sri Sathya Sai to offer Pranams as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Hon’ble CM joins mourners at Prasanthi Nilayam to pay his last homage to Sathya Sai Baba

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today joined the bereaved family members of the late Sathya Sai Baba and offered flowers at the mortal remains of the spiritual leader at Prasanthi Nilayam

Mr. Modi had nearly 30 years’ association with Sathya Sai Baba.

While the world as well as Gujarat is deeply mourning his death, the Chief Minister said the Baba would continue to inspire and guide the mankind to walk on the path of selfless service.

Paying his last homage to departed soul, Mr. Modi said, the Baba has won people’s heart with his humility, serving the poor, curing the sick and spreading mass education. He has introduced the great Indian culture and spirituality to the world.

Mr. Modi said he was greatly influenced by the life of Sathya Sai Baba and he considered himself fortunate to have received his blessings for serving the poor. He said that serving the poor could be the best and biggest tribute to the departed soul.
