Even though the celebrations commenced four days ago,
the devotees are eagerly awaiting for the big day. The state
government has made elaborate arrangement s for the mega event.
Devotees from 176 countries have arrived in Putaparthy for the
celebrations. A record 15 lakh devotees are expected to take part
in the birthday celebrations on Wednesday.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba will celebrate his birthday in the midst of
his devotees at the Hill View stadium in Puttaparthy on the 23rd.
The CM YS Rajashekar Reddy met Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Putaparthy
today. The CM lauded Baba’s contribution for solving the drinking
water problem in the area and for his largesse for the drinking
water projects in East and West Godavari districts.
There is an expectation all around that the Baba might announce a
special gift for the state on his birthday similar to what he
announced last year. The police have made elaborate security
arrangements for the event. The Baba trust has set up medical
camps to take care of devotees and medicines worth Rs. 2.5 lakh
have been procured for treating the needy devotees.

CM YS Rajashekar Reddy visited
Puttaparthy today to take part in the 80th Birthday
celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The celebrations are
going on from the last one-week.
Devotees from over 100 countries have come to
Puttaparthy to take part in the birthday celebrations
of Sri Sathy Sai Baba.The state government had made
elaborate arrangement for the celebrations.
The SCR are running special trains from
various part of the state to Puttaparthy. Even special
flights both by Indian Airlines and other private carrier
are being run from and to Puttaparthy.
The Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy and his cabinet
colleagues visited
Puttaparthy and greeted Sri Sai Baba on his Birthday. The
minister for Endowments and Panchayatraj JC Divakar Reddy
is also seen.
